Citrix

The Quill Consultancy has over the last three years provided technical training in Citrix products. We currently use Shane Broomhall to provide this training who has been appointed the Citrix Authorised Learning Center for Western Australia, South Australia & Tasmania. Shane is regarded by Citrix as a Subject Matter Expert on Citrix products.  He has been working with Citrix products since 1998 and has used all products since WinFrame 1.7. Due to the size to the Citrix training market here in Tasmania, The Quill has been able to offer training in Citrix typically once or at best twice a year. The following courses in our opinion are the most likely to be offered during 2004.

CTX-1222 - Citrix MetaFrame XP for Windows Administration

This course provides the necessary foundation to fully utilize the power of the Citrix MetaFrame XP product family. This course covers installation and administration of Citrix MetaFrame XP and Citrix ICA clients in a variety of network environments. Students receive in-depth training on using the Citrix Management Console, configuring a server farm and individual server settings, managing licensing, and administering MetaFrame XP servers.

This training would be conducted by a Certified Netware Instructor from the mainland. A minimum of 6 people would be required for the course to become viable in Tasmania.

CTX-1240 - Citrix MetaFrame XP for Windows Advanced Administration  

This advanced course provides hands-on instruction in designing, planning, testing and deploying MetaFrame XP server farms. This course is intended for Citrix Certified Administrators (CCAs) seeking to extend their knowledge in enterprise implementations of best practices, and to establish, manage, optimize and troubleshoot enterprise-level MetaFrame XP server farms.

CTX -2622 - Citrix MetaFrame XPe for Windows Enterprise Management

This course covers the advanced management capabilities found within Citrix MetaFrame XPe, including system monitoring and analysis, application packaging and delivery, and network management. Students receive the in-depth training and hands-on experience necessary for enterprise-wide management.
