New 1 Day Technical Courses for
Windows 2000 Server

Back to Main Index

The Quill Consultancy recognises that it is becoming increasingly difficult for organisations and business to send people to the more "traditional" five day Microsoft Official Curriculum courses. The reasons for this appear to us to be:

  • Difficult to release IT support staff for 5-day blocks for this training

  • Courses increasingly focus on enterprise networks that do not reflect many production Windows 2000 environments in the Tasmanian context.

  • Courses always have a focus on Microsoft certification which for many participants is not relevant.

  • The desire of organisations to "customise" their training requirements.

  • For smaller organisations technical training can appear to be too expensive.

In an effort to improve this we intend to trial the delivery of 1 day technical courses in Windows 2000 in the June to August period to enable organisations to better target Windows 2000 Server technical training for staff. All courseware will be existing Microsoft Official Curriculum, identical to what is currently used in our existing courses. The advantage however is that even though the course focus will be typically on 3 or 4 modules, students will have their own copy of the courseware to take away; for many will represent a significant value-add.

It needs to be stressed that if achieving certification is important to a participant that they should be attending an existing course in our schedule: details of which can be found at:
