Checking Contact Information

If you want to update the details of a contact, you can quickly and easily email the information to the contact for checking.

  1. Find the contact.
  2. Right click and hold on the contact.
  3. Drag to the Inbox and let go.
    The following shortcut menu is displayed:
  4. Select Copy Here as Message with Text.
    A new message window is displayed with the contact information listed:
  5. Address the email and add any other relevant comments.
  6. Click Send.

Remove Outdated Names from the List in Outlook (2002/2003)

As you start typing an e-mail address into the To, Cc, or Bcc boxes of a message, Outlook version 2002 offers a list of names and e-mail addresses that match what you've typed so far. That way you can choose from the list instead of continuing to type. You can use the Delete key to remove outdated names from the list.

To delete a name from the list:

  1. Use the Up Arrow key or Down Arrow key to select the name.
  2. Press Delete.

Note: Only those names/e-mail addresses that you have previously sent e-mail to will appear in the list.

Return Meeting Responses

Most administrative assistants have permission to send meeting requests from their manager's accounts but sometimes, responses to those meeting requests end up in their manager's mailboxes.

To return responses to the administrative assistant:

To grant someone permission to send e-mail requests for you:

  1. From the Tools menu select Options.
  2. Select the Delegates tab.
  3. Click on the Add button.
  4. Select the user.
  5. In the Inbox section select the appropriate permission level.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Check
