Excel
Following feedback from clients we have added a new course to our Excel
offerings.
Our new Advanced Excel course will cover topics including "what if"
analysis (goal-seeking, data tables, scenario manager and the Solver),
advanced formulas and functions, creating user-defined functions,
consolidation and linking of worksheet/workbook data, creating and editing
macros using VBA, using styles and templates, statistical analysis tools,
and using PivotTables with external data.
This course will complement our 3 existing courses:
Introductory Excel
This one day course covers the basics of workbook creation, formatting,
and printing, simple formulas, working with dates, charts. This course is
suitable for people new to Excel, or those who have been using it for a
while, but predominately with workbooks created by others, and would like
to have a better understanding of how it "all works".
Intermediate Excel
This one day course is suitable for those with a good grasp of Excel
basics who want to extend their knowledge of topics like conditional
formatting, worksheet protection, naming cells, more advanced formulas,
data validation techniques, data consolidation across worksheets,
PivotTables and other list management features in Excel, lookup functions,
and an introduction to recording macros.
Excel VBA/Macros
This two day course is designed for those with extensive knowledge of
Excel who have completed our advanced Excel course (or have equivalent
experience), and who would like to use the Visual Basic for Applications
(VBA) programming language to automate tasks that need to be completed
using Excel. Knowledge of conditional formatting, data consolidation,
lookup functions and PivotTables is an advantage but no previous
programming experience is assumed.
In all our courses we focus on keyboard shortcuts and other workbook
building techniques that will ensure you will be more productive once you
are back in your workplace.
