Advanced Excel

Following feedback from clients we have added a new course to our Excel offerings.

Our new Advanced Excel course will cover topics including "what if" analysis (goal-seeking, data tables, scenario manager and the Solver), advanced formulas and functions, creating user-defined functions, consolidation and linking of worksheet/workbook data, creating and editing macros using VBA, using styles and templates, statistical analysis tools, and using PivotTables with external data.

This course will complement our 3 existing courses:

Introductory Excel

This one day course covers the basics of workbook creation, formatting, and printing, simple formulas, working with dates, charts. This course is suitable for people new to Excel, or those who have been using it for a while, but predominately with workbooks created by others, and would like to have a better understanding of how it "all works".

Intermediate Excel

This one day course is suitable for those with a good grasp of Excel basics who want to extend their knowledge of topics like conditional formatting, worksheet protection, naming cells, more advanced formulas, data validation techniques, data consolidation across worksheets, PivotTables and other list management features in Excel, lookup functions, and an introduction to recording macros.

Excel VBA/Macros

This two day course is designed for those with extensive knowledge of Excel who have completed our advanced Excel course (or have equivalent experience), and who would like to use the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming language to automate tasks that need to be completed using Excel. Knowledge of conditional formatting, data consolidation, lookup functions and PivotTables is an advantage but no previous programming experience is assumed.

In all our courses we focus on keyboard shortcuts and other workbook building techniques that will ensure you will be more productive once you are back in your workplace.
