Staff Changes in 2004

We have sadly just farewelled Andrew Ormerod from The Quill staff. Those clients who have worked with Andrew will agree that his training and software development skills will be sorely missed. Andrew joined us after graduating from the University of Tasmania and he has made great progress as a IT professional while working with us. Andrew has commenced in a software development/network support position at the Mercury newspaper and we wish him all the best in the future.

On a brighter note, Andrew’s departure has given us the opportunity to employ another newly graduated student from the University of Tasmania. Petrina Robertson will commence with us in the New Year as part of our software development team. Petrina has an outstanding academic record and has already done some part time work in the IT industry so we are confident she is going to be an excellent addition to The Quill staff.

Based on our past experience with the employment of graduates, and the candidates we interviewed prior to Petrina’s selection, we are very impressed with the quality of IT students emanating from the University of Tasmania. We are also grateful to Nicole Clark (Lecturer, School of Computing) at the university for the help she provided in advertising our vacancy to graduating students.
