This course provides the necessary foundation to fully utilize the power of the Citrix MetaFrame XP product family. This course covers installation and administration of Citrix MetaFrame XP and Citrix ICA clients in a variety of network environments. Students receive in-depth training on using the Citrix Management Console, configuring a server farm and individual server settings, managing licensing, and administering MetaFrame XP servers.

CTX-1240 - Citrix MetaFrame XP for Windows Advanced Administration (3-day course)

This advanced course provides hands-on instruction in designing, planning, testing and deploying MetaFrame XP server farms. This course is intended for Citrix Certified Administrators (CCAs) seeking to extend their knowledge in enterprise implementations of best practices, and to establish, manage, optimize and troubleshoot enterprise-level MetaFrame XP server farms.

System administrators, Citrix resellers and business affiliates, and independent consultants will find that the Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) program is an excellent credential. It demonstrates product expertise on Citrix platform products and is the starting point for Citrix’s other technical certifications.

CCAs are skilled industry professionals that have demonstrated a thorough knowledge of Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server, Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 for Windows, or Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server for UNIX.

The CCEA program is a technical certification that builds on the Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) program. The CCEA program expands your knowledge of Citrix products and gives you even more extensive experience installing and administering the Citrix MetaFrame suite of products.
