ITIL Training

The Quill Consultancy has scheduled ITIL Foundation Training for the 19-21 March  and 13-15 August.

The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a framework of best practice approaches intended to facilitate the delivery of high quality information technology (IT) services. ITIL outlines an extensive set of management procedures that are intended to support businesses in achieving both quality and value for money in IT operations. These procedures are supplier independent and have been developed to provide guidance across the breadth of IT infrastructure, development, and operations.

In July 2004 it became an official Australian standard in ICT Service Management (AS8018). Organisations in Australia and around the world are integrating ITIL into their business processes because it represents the most holistic framework for understanding and managing the interrelationships between the components of IT Service Management operation.

The ITIL Foundation Course is one of three ITIL on-site courses designed to support service improvement initiatives and plant the seeds for growing a true service culture within IT.

Some key benefits from ITIL training include:

  • fosters a common language of ITIL within IT service management
  • builds acceptance of the need for improved processes and business alignment
  • helps build a service culture
  • builds participants’ confidence in suggesting improvements
  • gives an opportunity for professional development through certification
  • helps everyone in IT service delivery see the “big picture"
